We would like to hold our first hunger banquet in October. A hunger banquet is where people pay to come, and they recieve a ticket. There are different tickets which represent different social classes. There ill be different tables for each class, and whatever class you are assigned on your ticket is where you sit. At the tables there will be the types of food someone in that class would eat and information about that class. There will be only a few people in the upper class, a little more in the middle class, and the majority of the people will be in the lower class. This will stimulate the ratio of how many people are actually in each class in our world. Later on in the night we will be running slideshows and videos about Students for 60,000, Nicaragua, and poverty around the world. There wil;l be a meeting in H241 Thursday afterschool for anyone interested in helping out with this event.
